Revisiting the Core Skills of Community Engagement Practitioners Workshop A Tuesday 15th February, 2011
9:00am – 4:00pm
The role of community engagement practitioners is evolving. Increasingly community engagement practitioners are seen as playing a critical role in how an organisation develops trust with their stakeholders and community, and how organisations can become aligned with their approach.
The way organisations use consultants is also changing. Max will both share his observations, and facilitate a process whereby participants can reflect on their own practice and observations. It will be interactive, stimulating and a wonderful lead in to the conference.
By actively taking part in this workshop, participants will:
- Be able to identify trends in practice and the evolving role of community engagement practitioners
- Map the range of skills required to effectively advocate for, design and facilitate sound, principles-based community engagement practices
- Consider their individuals strengths and capabilities, and their organisation
- Have prepared a plan for their own professional development
- Take away an action learning process to track their progress
